UFC Fighter Mark Muñoz Faced Struggles at a Young Age

The 33-year-old mixed martial artist admitted that he was bullied twice when he was younger. One resulted into injury that pushed him to find ways to defend himself.

“I got into wrestling primarily for self-defense,” he said.

Since then, Muñoz has been arguably, the most successful Pinoy in the world of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He was even ranked as the number five middleweight fighter in the world by Sherdog.com.

According to him, he fights not only for himself, but for the Filipino pride. Known as the “Filipino Wrecking Machine”, the mixed martial artist is known as an aggressive ground-and-pound specialist, and praised for his resilience inside the octagon.
