DZMM Named Radio Station of the Year by Rotary Club of Manila

DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 continues its winning streak this year as it was named the Radio Station of the Year by the Rotary Club of Manila Journalism Awards 2011 yesterday (June 14).

ABS-CBN Manila Radio Division head Peter Musngi said the honor inspires the leading AM radio station in Mega Manila to better serve the public. “The award further motivates us to always stay true to our commitment not only of gathering news but also delivering public service to those who believe in the vision of DZMM and DZMM TeleRadyo, which is to serve the Filipino people,” he said. DZMM station manager Marah Capuyan said the prestigious award, which DZMM also won in 2003, 2007, 2008 and 2009, is a product of the DZMM staff’s diligence and teamwork. The RCM has given honors to media companies and individuals for their outstanding contributions to print, television, and radio since 1966. DZMM remains as the country’s most awarded AM radio station after winning the Gold Standard Trusted Brand Award in the radio category of the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands 2012.
