List of Movies Submitted for Consideration for 2012 MMFF Revealed

An initial list of 14 movies (scripts) submitted for consideration for this year's Metro Manila Film Festival have been revealed.

Here are the movies submitted by their respective production outfits for consideration in the MMFF 2012:

1. Scenema Concept International by ER Ejercito in partnership with Viva Films:

a. “El Presidente” starring Nora Aunor, Cristine Reyes, Cesar Montano and ER Ejercito. Directed by Tikoy Aguiluz.

b. “Bend Tumbling” starring Jericho Ejercito.

2. Unitel Pictures

a. “Lola Basyang Story”

3. GMA Films

a. “Coño Problems” starring Bianca King, Aljur Abrenica, Solenn Heussaff, Isabelle Daza, Mikael Daez.

4. Star Cinema

a. “Untitled” starring Vice Ganda and Kris Aquino.

b. “One More Try” starring Angelica Panganiban, Dingdong Dantes, and Angel Locsin.

5. Octoarts Films

a. “Si Agimat, Si Enteng and Me” starring Bong Revilla, Vic Sotto, and Judy Ann Santos.

6. Quantum Films

a. “The Strangers” starring Julia Montes, Enrique Gil, and Enchong Dee.

b. “Tuhog” starring Eugene Domingo.

7. Brilliante Mendoza in partnership with Solar Films

a. “Sa ‘Yo ang Sinapupunan” starring Nora Aunor.

8. Deus Lux Mea Films by Adolf Alix

a. “My Prince Charming” starring Iza Calzado and Mario Maurer.

b. “Death March” starring Cesar Montano, Zanjoe Marudo,and Jason Abalos.

8. Regal Films

a. “Shake Rattle and Roll 14” starring Lovi Poe, Dennis Trillo, and Vhong Navarro.

9. Center Stage Productions

a. “Untitled”

Only 8 movies will make it as official entries to the 38th MMFF 2012 to be announced this June 18.

The MMFF committee will also launch the “New Wave Category.” It will feature notable short films made by high school and college students.
