Based on the latest data of Kantar Media for the month of May, “Wansapanataym” was part of the top 5 overall TV programs in the Philippines with an average national TV rating of 22.7%.
Aside from the consistent high ratings of the show, Xyriel is thankful for the opportunity to be a positive influence to other kids. “I’m happy that through the roles that I play, I can be a good role model not only to kids but to the whole family as well,” she said.
In the continuation of her “Wansapanataym” special this Saturday (June 9), Xyriel takes on the role of Kate, a little girl who has a habit of saving her money and keeping it in a piggy bank. As a reward for her good deed, the piggy bank mysteriously comes to life and bursts out a lot of money. However, as her family starts to live a wealthy life, Kate suddenly becomes too arrogant and loose with their money. Will she finally learn the importance of her family when their riches are taken away from them?
In the ‘Ik-Ik Da Madyik Biik’ episode, Xyriel will be reunited with her “100 Days to Heaven” co-star Jodi Sta. Maria. Completing the cast are Vandolph and Cris Pasturan. It is written by Joel Mercado and directed by Tots Sanchez-Mariscal.
“Wansapanataym” is a part of ABS-CBN’s “Bida Best Kid” campaign launched recently that aims to empower children by encouraging them to become who they want to be and the best that they can be. It doesn’t only entertain and educate its young viewers with its values-oriented, child-friendly programs, but supports their dreams and aspirations as well.
