Kris Bernal celebrated her 23rd birthday on Tuesday night, June 5, at 7th High Bar in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City.

GMA Artist Center threw a birthday party for Kris Bernal on Tuesday night and everyone who played a role in her life–celebrity friends, family, old friends and classmates, co-workers, and some members of the press–were invited.

Kris Bernal arrived at 7th High Bar wearing a Francis Libiran creation. But before going to party mode, the birthday celebrant granted an interview from the entertainment press.

Here are excerpts from the interview…

On who is the Special Guest(s) that she’s expecting:

“Wala naman po akong special someone ngayon e. Siguro ‘yung pinaka-special na darating ‘yung family ko po,” she said.

But Bernal admitted that it could have been a blast if her former on-screen partner–Aljur Abrenica–and current leading man–Mark Herras–were present.

Unfortunately, Abrenica is in the US for the Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York while Herras said via a text message that he has to attend to a family problem.

On Her Birthday Wish:

“Tuwing tinatanong ako sa birthday wish ko, iniisip ko lang ‘yung para sa family ko. ‘Yung para sa career ko, gusto ko magkaroon ng maraming endorsements, magazine covers, ‘yung mga challenging na roles, saka awards,” she shared.

Asked if she’s ready to pose sexy on the cover of a men’s magazine, she said “not yet.”

On Being Reunited with Aljur in an Upcoming Project:

“Excited po ako, nai-imagine ko na nga e. Nae-excite ako kasi alam ko rin na marami nang naghahanap sa ‘AlKris,’ marami nang nagtatanong kay Aljur na mga fans namin, ganun, at parang naririnig ko na rin kasi na iba ‘yung konsepto ng show, iba yung kwento,” she said.
