Green Lantern a.k.a Alan Scott is the Rumored Gay DC Superhero?
If you’ve seen the Green Lantern movie last year starring Ryan Reynolds, you wouldn’t think that he’s the character who DC Comics announced as being reintroduced to the new DC Universe as a gay man.
When the news came out, speculations are pointing to Superman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, and even Wonder Woman.
However, at the Phoenix Comic Con, people are talking about Green Lantern a.k.a. Alan Scott as the most likely to come out because of his character’s weakness to “wood.” Seriously?
Created by Martin Nodell, and first written with Bill Finger in 1940, Green Lantern was originally a mysticaly-based superhero, whose powers were derived from the flame of a magic lamp.
Here is the character’s reappearance in “Earth Two” issue no. 1:
The geeks have an inkling that the character will come out in the upcoming second issue which is due for release later this month.

there are many Green Lanterns in the DC Comics.. the last movie is not Alan Scott. Alan Scott is the first Green Lantern.. My God.. pakiaayos ng reports niyo.. Alan Scott is from the Golden age Green Lanter while Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds on the recent Film) is from the Silver Age Green Lantern..
