Floyd Mayweather Jr. Beats Miguel Cotto via Unanimous Decision, Wins WBA Super Light Middleweight Title

Floyd Mayweather Jr. scored a unanimous decision over his Super-Welterweight Championship bout against Miguel Cotto Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila).

Floyd Mayweather snatched the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super-Welterweight belt from Cotto with a score of 118-110, 117-111, and 117-111, on May 5, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

This is the 43rd win of the undefeated 34-year-old champion, who after winning the bout against Cotto, bagged the biggest guaranteed earning in boxing history – a whopping $32 million!

Mayweather has now improved his record to 43 Wins, (26 Wins by KO), 0 Losses and 0 Draws in 43 fights. Cotto, on the other hand, suffered his 3rd loss, had 37 Wins (30 Wins by KO), 0 Draws in 40 fights.

    It’s nothing compared to Pacquiao’s win over Cotto which was via knock-out! Who’s fiercer between Pacquiao and Mayweather, though, still remains to be seen! Will their fight still push through?
