Jessica Sanchez Earns 3rd Standing Ovation from ‘Idol’ Judges

Jessica Sanchez scored her third standing-ovation-performance during the American Idol season 11 Top 10 show.

Jessica Sanchez has earned her first standing ovation during the first live show of American Idol (Top 12 girls). She sang Jennifer Hudson’s “Love You I Do: (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE).

The Filipina-Mexican-American teenager scored her second standing ovation from the judges during the “Whitney Houston/Stevie Wonder” week. She sang “I Will Always Love You” and Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine hailed the performance as the best in the show’s history (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE).

Last Thursday, Jessica Sanchez sang “Everybody Has A Dream” by Billy Joel and nce again swept the judges off their feet.

Here’s what the judges’ said about the performance:

Randy Jackson said “It takes consistency to win and you have a moment every time you step on that stage…perfection!”

Steven Tyler said “You have gone way past my judging. Thank you for letting me hear you sing.”

Jennifer Lopez said “He wrote that song for you a long time ago. It was a beautiful thing.”

Jessica Sanchez made the cut to the show’s Top 9 together with Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, Elise Testone, Joshua Ledet, Colton Dixon, Philip Phillips, DeAndre Brackensick and Heejun Han.

It was Erika Van Pelt who got the boot.

Jessica Sanchez is the youngest contender this season and considered by many as a front-runner for the title.
