Whitney Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the eve of the 54th Grammy Awards.

According to her publicist, Whitney Houston was found dead on Saturday afternoon, February 11, 2012, around 3:55 PM inside the guest room of her Beverly Hilton Hotel. Causes of her death not immediately known. She was 48 years old.

Houston is the most awarded female act of all time according to the Guiness Book of Records with a total of 415 career awards.

She was also one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide.

Houston popularized the songs “I Will Always Love You,” “Run to You,” “I’m Every Woman,” “The Greatest Love of All,” “One Moment in Time,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” etc.
