Comedian Albert "Betong" Sumaya was named Celebrity Sole Survivor during the Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown grand finale Friday night.

Held live at the Studio 7 of GMA Network Building in Quezon City Friday night, February 10, Betong Sumaya was declared season 4 winner of Survivor Philippines by garnering 4 votes from the 7 jury members namely Maey Bautista, Chuckie Dreyfus, Arthur Solinap and KC Montero.

Mara Yokohama received two votes courtesy of Arnold Aninion and John Odulio of Philippine Volcanoes making her the runner-up. Stef Prescott got 1 vote courtesy of her partner Gino dela Peña.

Betong went home P3-million pesos richer for winning the title. He received the check from GMA-7 Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon and President and COO Gilberto Duavit, Jr.

The term “Congrats Betong” and the hash tag “SurvivorPHfinale” became worldwide trending topics on Twitter during the airing of the live finale.
