‘Budoy’ Continues to Soar High in National TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s biggest family drama series, “Budoy,” continues to soar high in the national TV ratings game and remains to be one of the viewers’ favorite teleseryes despite the onset of new Primetime Bida offerings.

In fact, according to the latest data from Kantar Media, “Budoy” garnered a national TV rating of 29.3% as compared to the 16.8% of rival program “Legacy” from GMA. Furthermore, “Budoy” managed to claim the 6th spot of Kantar’s “Top 30 programs in 2011” along with other Kapamilya teleseryes “Mara Clara,” “100 Days to Heaven,” “Mutya,” and “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.”

Since the series started airing October last year, characters from “Budoy” including Luisa (ZsaZsa Padilla), Elena (Janice de Belen), Anton (Tirso Cruz III), Grace (Mylene Dizon), BJ (Enrique Gil), Jackie (Jessy Mendiola) and Budoy (Gerald Anderson) himself have been receiving countless positive feedbacks.

“Budoy” has captured the hearts of viewers from different walks of life including young kids, which are now more inspired to study because of the show. A public school teacher even shared, “My students can relate to him, especially with all the difficulties Budoy he had to overcome in his life. Budoy has served as an inspiration for them to study harder and pursue their dreams despite the hardships.”
