KC Concepcion Leaves ‘The Buzz,’ to be Replaced by Carmina Villaroel?
KC Concepcion‘s last appearance on “The Buzz” prior to her farewell episode last Sunday was a taped interview with Boy Abunda last November 25 when she revealed the reasons of her break-up with ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual. It can be remembered that KC took a showbiz break during the said difficult time in her life.
In the live interview on “The Buzz” last January 8, the mega daughter revealed her new hairdo alongside her upcoming projects with ABS-CBN.
“Maraming mangyayari. I’m very excited for the new me. Sa lahat ng napagdaanan natin, may new leaf, may new chapter at lahat yung tinu-turn over ko dahil naniniwala ako na may dahilan,” she said.
Boy Abunda asked KC the greatst lesson that she learned last 2011. KC spoke about women empowerment and that never think less of one’s self.
“Never allow anyone to step on you. You should not let anyone think less of you and bilang babae, meron kang strength na hindi mo alam o hindi mo malalaman agad-agad na meron ka at huwag mong bibitawan yon,” she said.
Because of her unpleasant break-up with the country’s top leading man–Piolo Pascual (Click here for related article)–people speculated that KC will transfer to TV5 to follow her mother, Sharon Cuneta, who made the “big move” last December.
KC shattered the speculations by signing a new contract with ABS-CBN before year 2011 ended (Click here for related article).
This year, the Mega-daughter is set to host the Philippine edition of Simon Cowell‘s hit reality competition “The X Factor” and will soon star in the upcoming primetime drama “Alta” opposite Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban. She also released her new single “Di Bale Na” on ASAP last Sunday.
Meanwhile, Carmina Villaroel is set to sign a contract with ABS-CBN this January 16 to become a Kapamilya. According to reports, she will become the new co-host of Boy Abunda and Charlene Gonzalez-Muhlach on “The Buzz” replacing KC Concepcion. But until it happens, this scoop remains unconfirmed.
Other Kapuso stars reportedly transferring/returning to the Kapamilya Network are Patrick Garcia, Iza Calzado and Claudine Barretto.
