Barbie Forteza is Being Outshined by Bea Binene?
Barbie Forteza was given several title roles already by GMA-7 including “Pilyang Kerubin,” “Nita Negrita” and the ongoing afternoon soap “Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin.” She also starred in the movies “Tween Academy: Class of 2012” and “The Road” making her the busiest tween star of 2011.
However, there were reports that Bea Binene has gained more followers than Barbie before the year 2011 ended. As a matter of fact, in the final rankings of Starmometer’s “Hottest 20 Stars Under 20” 2011 survey (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE), Bea Binene clinched the no. 16 position while Barbie Forteza missed the list by a notch – she’s at no. 21.
The poll was based on fans’ votes in Starmometer Facebook Page.
Is this the reason why GMA-7 has entrusted Bea Binene, who starred in the afternoon soap “Pahiram ng Isang Ina,” top-billing in the upcoming series “Alice Bungisngis and Her Wonder Walis”?
In an interview by 24 Oras, Bea Binene pointed out that there is no competition between her and Barbie Forteza.
“Magkaiba naman kami ni Barbie ng way ng pag-arte. Ibang-iba naman po yung mga concept ng shows. So sana po and siguro, sa mga viewers na lang po ‘yun,” she said.
