There are only 4 international pageants that matter otherwise known as the “Grand Slam Pageants” or the “Big 4”: Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth.

To rank the 10 best performing countries in the four most prestigious beauty pageants in the world for 2011, we give equivalent points to the following:

Pageant’s winner: 100 points
2nd placer – 70 points
3rd placer – 50 points
4th placer – 40 points
5th placer – 30 points
Finalists (whatever rank) – 20 points
Semifinalists – 10 points
Quarterfinalists – 5 points

We also give 20 points to the winner of minor pageants such as Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational and Miss Tourism Queen International.
