Find out how alternative band Rocksteddy and rapper/RnB singer Quest combined their music for a refreshing Coca-Cola mash-up like no other.

Sometimes, artists from different genres do not jive well if being tasked to collaborate for a project for the simple reason that their music have different beat, melody and message. But with Quest and Rocksteddy, it’s a different story because their music blend together like it’s meant to be.

Rocksteddy chose “Gising Na” as their song for the mash-up and like serendipity, it’s a perfect match for Quest‘s “Back to Love” because both songs have a positive vibe to it.

That’s why during the rehearsals, Rocksteddy and Quest had a smooth collaboration as if they’ve been working together for a long time.

Mash-up Review:

“Gising Na” by Rocksteddy and “Back to Love” by Quest jived so naturally that despite the difference in language (English and Tagalog), it delivered one positive message. Also, their performance was very solid and it felt like they rehearsed it for quite a long time.

Another thing I like about this mash-up was that Rocksteddy and Quest had equal moments and they both shone in their given moments. In layman’s term, “walang sapawan” na nangyari.
