The children's book Dr. Seuss' The Lorax is now an upcoming CGI animated feature.

The Lorax, also known as Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, is an upcoming American computer-animated 3-D film based on Dr. Seuss’ children’s book of the same name. It is being produced by Illumination Entertainment and will be released by Universal Pictures on March 2, 2012, what would have been the 108th birthday of Seuss, who died at the age of 87 in 1991.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax features the voices of Danny DeVito as the Lorax, Taylor Swift as Audrey, Ed Helms as the enigmatic Once-ler, Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic young boy who searches for the Lorax, Rob Riggle as financial king O’Hare, Betty White as Ted’s wise Grammy Norma and is directed by Chris Renaud.

Synopsis: Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, an adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a boy as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
