Steven Spielberg Brings the Comic Book Series ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ to the Big Screen

Steven Spielberg brings to life the popular Belgian comic book series "The Adventures of Tintin."

Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present a 3D Motion Capture Film “The Adventures of Tintin” directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.

Based on the series of books The Adventures of Tintin by Hergé, the film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy.

The Adventures of Tintin is an upcoming performance capture 3D film based on a series of comic books of the same name by Belgian artist Hergé (Georges Remi).

The film adaptation is directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Sir Peter Jackson, and written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, based on three of the stories: The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackham’s Treasure.

The film stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock, Daniel Craig as Red Rackham, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as Thomson and Thompson.
