Sinag Pilipinas Demolishes Thailand, Faces Malaysia in the Semis (SEA Games)

Sinag Pilipinas, the Philippine national basketball team, dominated the game against Thailand on Wednesday, November 16, at the Kelapa Gading Sports Mall, Jakarta.

Sinag Pilipinas scored 103 while the team from Thailand settled for 69. The win put the nationals on top of Group A and fast-tracked the team to the basketball semi-finals of the 26th Southeast Asian Games.

The Philippine team will face the team from Malaysia today. If they win the match, they will play for the Gold medal tomorrow, November 19.

Meanwhile in the women’s tournament, Perlas ng Pilipinas (the Philippine national women’s basketball team) defeated Myanmar on Wednesday, 57–39, to share the lead with Thailand in the group stage.

Philippines and Thailand are the remaining undefeated teams. Their face-off is happening at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon.
