GMA artists dominated the country’s prestigious 24th Aliw Awards held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila last November 8, 2011.

Aliw Awards honor the best and unmatched personas and performances in Philippine live entertainment.

Among the Kapuso winners is Solenn Heussaff. The former Survivor castaway and Fashbook host was named as the Discovery of the Year.

Daldalita stars Elmo Magalona and Julie Ann San Jose bagged the Best Male Teen Performer and Best Female Teen Performer respectively.

Party Pilipinas singer Jonalyn Viray received Best Performer in hotels; music bars and lounges (Female Category) while Gian Magdangal received the Best Performer for a Special Production award for his remarkable performance in Kaos at the Resorts World Manila.

Meanwhile, Showbiz Central host Raymond Gutierrez was named as the Best Male Emcee.

‘Charice: Home for Valentine’, which aired last February 13, 2011 on GMA, received a total of 2 awards: Best Major Concert (Female Category) and it also recognized Louie Ignacio as the Best Concert Stage Director.

With all the recognitions and awards, it only proves that the Kapuso network hones its talents to be the best in their chosen field.
