Before leaving, Ramona rectracted her earlier statement, said she was not abducted by her brother’s killers, and claimed she had nothing to do with the death of his brother Ramgen.
Ramgen’s girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, who survived gun shots and stab wound, testified on Thursday that Ramona was at the crime scene and fled without calling for help.
Ramona’s sudden departure and her newest version of what happened during that night of the incident shocked the Revilla clan particularly his half-brother Senator Bong Revilla Jr. who expressed his dismay on his sister’s decision to flee out of the county.
The senator said, in an interview on GMA’s Saksi and ABS-CBN’s Bandila, Ramona’s flight is “a sign of guilt.”
“In the first place hindi siya dapat umalis. Dapat ay hinarap niya ang investigasyon kung talagang hindi siya guilty. Ang dapat na malaman natin ngayon ay kung sino ang nagpaalis sa kanya at kung sino ang nag-escort sa kanya para umalis at ano ang ginawa ng kapulisan kung bakit siya nakaalis,” he added.
Ramona’s brother, Ramon “RJ” Joseph Bautista, who is one of the primary suspects was arrested earlier this week and detained by the Parañaque City police.
