Arjohn Gilbert and Leana Tabuñar are two talented Pinoy kids who are currently making waves on YouTube because of their singing talent.

Their online videos paved the way for the two young internet sensation to be seen on national television, the latter even bagged a talent contract from a major TV network.

Last night, the singing Aeta boy, Arjohn Gilbert, who is a flute vendor in Mabalacat, Pampanga, guested on ABS-CBN’s “Gandang Gabi Vice.”

Gilbert showcased his singing prowess by singing Justin Bieber‘s “Baby,” Bruno Mars‘ “Just The Way You Are” and Bugoy Drilon‘s “Paano Na Kaya?” He also had a jamming session with the show’s host Vice Ganda by doing some beatboxing.

Just this morning, the hashtag #Arjohn Gilbert became a trending topic on Twitter for the Philippines.

Meanwhile, another talented kid and also a current YouTube sensation by the name of Leana Tabuñar is making a showbiz splash.

The 8-year-old Tabuñar became popular in the last couple of weeks for her YouTube video featuring her singing Jessie Jay‘s “Price Tag.”

The video caught the attention of GMA news reporter Nelson Canlas who eventually shared the “discovery” to the Kapuso executive Ms. Annette Gozon-Abrogar.

And last Wednesday, Tabuñar, together with her parents, signed a contract with GMA Network in the presence of Ms. Annette, and Ms. Wilma Galvante, Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV, to become an official Kapuso talent.

“Napakagaling niyang kumanta, magperform at wala pa siyang formal training in voice. Talagang natural lang, tapos maganda pa siya, mabait. Ang laki ng potential niya na maging big star kung gusto niya ‘yon,” Ms. Annette said.

Starting August 31, the 8-year-old YouTube sensation will be seen on GMA-7’s musical variety program “Party Pilipinas.”

In an interview by 24 Oras last August 10, Leana Tabuñar revealed that one of her dreams is to be able to sing with her idol Charice.

But it was Arjohn Gilbert who got an invitation from Charice herself to perform with her onstage in the “Glee” star’s upcoming Manila concert.
