The parent company of Dr Pepper in Plano, Texas, is suing a small Dr Pepper bottling company in Dublin, Texas for allegedly violating a licensing deal.

According to the parent company–Dr Pepper Snapple Group–the Dublin bottler is infringing on the trademark of the soft drink brand by selling a sugar cane sweetened version and marketing it as “Dublin Dr Pepper.”

They added that the small company is diluting the brand name by changing it, thus violating its licensing agreement. Another violation of the Dublin bottler is that it’s selling Dr Pepper outside of its six-country territory.
