Drop Dead Diva Season 3 Airs on AXN Beyond

Season 3 of the well-loved dramedy series "Drop Dead Diva" is now airing every Thursday night on AXN Beyond.

“Drop Dead Diva” is a well-loved comedic drama that tells the story of a shallow wannabe model, Deb Dobkins (Brooke D’Orsay), who dies in an accident only for her soul to resurface in the body of a brilliant, plus-size and recently deceased attorney, Jane Bingum (Brooke Elliott). By a twist of fate and a bolt of divine intervention, Deb must come to terms with inhabiting Jane’s curvier frame and learn to reconcile her beauty-queen ways with her brilliant new mind. At the close of Drop Dead Diva’s second season, Jane is left speechless when following a car accident, Grayson Kent (Jackson Hurst), Deb’s boyfriend, recognizes her as Deb before falling into a coma. As she anxiously waits for him to wake, Jane finds herself struggling with her desire to reveal who she is, despite warnings from heaven’s gatekeeper, Fred.

Episode 2 – “False Alarm”
Airing August 11, 9:00 PM

Recently awakened from a coma, Grayson enlists Jane’s help in planning his wedding and asks her to be his “Best Man.” Kim takes on a case to sue a plastic surgery center for the death of an aspiring young model; while Parker gets pulled into representing Teri’s latest squeeze, a fireman being sued for injuring a woman while rescuing her from a burning building. Meanwhile, Stacy and Fred are both ready to take their relationship to the “next level” and Jane finds herself breaking all her rules with a new love interest.

Episode 3 – “Dream Big”
Airing August 18, 9:00 PM

Jane represents Molly Heller and her dwarf teenage boy, Eli, in a suit against the sperm bank Molly used to conceive him because they failed to test the sperm for a genetic mutation that resulted in his dwarfism. At the same time, Parker diverts Grayson’s bachelor party dinner to a gentleman’s club, where Grayson lands a new client, a stripper named Sierra. Grayson represents her in court with his soon to be father-in-law, Judge Hemmings, presiding. When Fred’s vague past begins to threaten his relationship with Stacy, he enlists a co-worker, Ginny, to pretend to be his mother (Jennifer Tilly). Throughout the episode, Jane laments having slept with Dr. Bill on their first date as she waits for him to call and Parker tries to woo Kim back to the firm. Romy Rosemont (Glee) guest stars.

Episode 4 – “The Wedding”
Airing August 25, 9:00 PM

While fulfilling her duties as best man for Grayson and Vanessa’s wedding, Jane is held at gunpoint while picking up the wedding rings. But when the gunman needs a public defender in court, Jane is unexpectedly asked to step in and takes special interest in the case when despite her advice, he pleads guilty. The episode features guest stars Louis Van Amstel, Howard Hesseman and Jaime Ray Newman.
