Rumor has it that Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri is about to resign as senator.

Sen. Zubiri will give light to the issue around 3:00 p.m. senate session today and according to his camp, the embattled lawmaker has prepared 2 speeches and it’s gonna be “explosive.”

The 43-year-old senator has a pending case before the Senate Electoral Tribunal filed by Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III in connection with the alleged cheating in the 2007 senatorial elections.

Zubiri won the 12th Senate seat in the 2007 elections beating Pimentel who placed 13th.
