Pottermore is a unique online reading experience created by J.K. Rowling and built around the Harry Potter books.

It was recently revealed by author JK Rowling that the website is set to feature a wealth of new and previously unpublished material about the world of Harry Potter that surely delighted her fans.

The fresh Harry Potter material is not another installment from the seven previously published books and definitely not a continuation of “Deathly Hallows.” But fans should look forward for it as it already stretches to 18,000 words about the novels’ characters, places and objects, with more to come.

It’s more like a sidelight or trivia from the entire world of Harry Potter from Professor McGonagall’s love for a Muggle as a young woman, to how the Dursleys met (Petunia was working in an office); from new information about Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff houses, to details about wand wood.
