‘Captain America’ Rules US Box-Office with $65.8-M

"Captain America: The Last Avenger" registered biggest debut of a superhero movie this year.

Captain America opened with an estimated $65.8 million last weekend in the US, edging out fellow Avenger Thor‘s $65.7 million as well as Green Lantern‘s $53.2 million and X-Men: First Class‘s $55.1 million to top the summer’s superhero launches.

Another debuting film, “Friends with Benefits,” placed third with $18.5 million.
