Katy Perry Leads 2011 MTV Video Music Awards Nominees

Katy Perry is the front-runner to this year's MTV Video Music Awards with 9 nominations.

Perry is nominated for Video of the Year and Best Female Video for “Firework,” Best Pop Video for “Last Friday Night [T.G.I.F.],” and Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing and Best Special Effects for “E.T.” featuring Kanye West and directed by Floria Sigismondi.

Her video for “Teenage Dream.” on the other hand, is nominated for Best Cinematography.
