I’m not even sure if my lead made sense but all I have to say is that the battle of foreign endorsers for local apparel brands is on!

If Kamiseta has Katie Holmes and Penshoppe has Ed Westwick, Bench will not be left behind. The popular apparel brand has inked a deal with Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars!

The online poster above is still the teaser ad that has been circulating on the internet. But if you happen to come across EDSA corner Magallanes, you will see Bench’s newest billboard featuring the half-Pinoy half-Puerto Rican pop star Bruno Mars.

So the Taylor-Lautner-as-new-Bench-endorser rumor is officially dead. Bench got Mars and what’s nice about the idea is that the “Just the Way You Are” singer has Filipino blood – the perfect representation of a Filipino global brand.
