Actress Maricel Soriano failed to show up at the first meeting with her former household helpers May Cachuela and Camille Acojedo at the Barangay Hall in Poblacion, Makati.

A barangay hearing was supposed to happen on Wednesday regarding the complaints filed by Cachuela, 18, and Acojebo,23, regarding their allegations against the Diamond Star.

The maids are accusing Soriano of verbal and physical abuse (CLICK HERE for related article) during their almost a month since they were hired to work. Soriano, on the other hand, is accusing the 2 maids of stealing.

According to reports, Soriano’s camp wants to fix the problem through an out of court settlement but the maids said they won’t give up on their fight and would refuse any financial offer from the actress.

Barangay Captain Benhur Cruz said he would invite the actress again for another hearing.
