Raven-Symone Back on the Small Screen in ‘State of Georgia,’ Regrets Her New Sexy Figure

Singer/Actress Raven-Symone makes a TV comeback in the new ABC comedy series "State of Georgia."

Raven-Symone previously starred in “The Cosby Show,” “A Different World” and “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper”

Now she plays the role of the charismatic Georgia Chamberlin, a plus size girl who moves to New York in an attempt to make it big as an actress.

Also starring in the new ABC comedy are Majandra Delfino and Loretta Devine.

Prior to her shooting the “State of Georgia,” the former “That’s So Raven” star had a dramatic weight loss.

“I find it funny that people now come up to me and say, ‘Wow, you are absolutely gorgeous,'” the 25-year-old actress told Vibe Magazine. “I’m like, ‘I was beautiful before I lost weight. Egotistically speaking, I thought I was amazing.'”

However, her role as Georgia requires her to be a plus size woman, basically the size that she was before, so now she needs to put pads all over her body to achieve that look. So it’s quite ironic that she regrets losing weight when she needs it now in her work.

State of Georgia premieres Wednesday night of June 29 at 8:30/7:30c on ABC Family.
