TV5 Invaded Cebu with ‘Sugod mga Kapatid’ Campaign

TV5 has made its presence felt in the south as the second wave of "Sugod mga Kapatid" network campaign was held in Cebu last June 22 to 25.

In line with TV5’s three-fold nationwide viewership increase in the past year, the Kapatid Network, with its brightest stars invaded the Queen City of the South last June 22 to 25 offering live performances and fun activities for the Cebuanos.

Loko Moko’s Rainier Castillo, Joseph Bitangcol, Edgar Allan Guzman, Empoy Marquez, Milagring, Mariposa and Luningning treated Cebuanos with laughs and gags last June 22 at the Entertainment Center, SM City Cebu.

Meanwhile, the stars of the upcoming primetime series “Bangis,” led by Oyo Sotto, Rodjun Cruz, Danita Paner, Bayani Agbayani and Felix Roco; and cast of Iskul Bukol led by Keempee de Leon, Alwyn Uytingco, DJ Sam YG, Fred Lo, Erika Padilla and Regine Angeles, together with Juicy host IC Mendoza delivered 100% entertainment at SM City Cebu’s Entertainment Center last June 23.

“Sugod mga Kapatid” Cebu caravan continued last June 24, Friday, as TV5 held a motorcade at the heart of the city featuring Wil Time Bigtime’s Shalani Soledad and other Kapatid stars.

After the motorcade, the country’s biggest talent show–Talentadong Pinoy–also held live auditions with a special numbers from talent scouts Regine Tolentino and Pretty Trizhia with this year’s Ultimate Talentado Joseph the Artist and TP Hall of Famer The Zion Show at the SM City Cebu parking lot.

It was followed by a meet and greet event featuring the cast of the newest youth-oriented show Bagets with Cebu’s Pride and Star Factor Brightest Star Eula Caballero, Meg Imperial, Nadine Ilustre, Shai Sigrist, Rico dela Paz, AJ Muhlach, Josh Padilla, Johan Laurens and Aki Torio.

Meanwhile, TV5’s news and information division NEWS5, through its AKSYON Center, conducted a major public service event at E-Mall, Cebu City last Saturday to reach out to Cebuano Kapatids in need. Cheryl Cosim’s Alagang Kapatid held medical mission; Erwin Tulfo’s Tutok Tulfo conducted free legal clinic; Paolo Bediones’s USI gave disaster preparedness and survival training with RESCUE5; Raffy Tulfo’s Wanted offered public assistance desk; and morning show Sapul sa Singko conducted relationship and love counselling.

Capping TV5’s Cebu invasion was the live telecast of “Wil Time Bigtime” at the South Road Project (SRP), South Reclamation Area.
