Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Green Lantern’ Shines at US Box-Office

The Ryan Reynolds-starrer shines the brightest in its opening weekend in the US.

The superhero flick from DC Comics, which costars Blake Lively, Angela Bassett and Peter Sarsgaard, debuted with $52.6 million in ticket sales. According to reports, Green Lantern has an estimated cost of $200 million to produce and by the way its trending at the box-office, the film is set to be one of the biggest Summer hits.

Last week’s leader, Super 8, settled for 2nd spot with $21 million. The sci-fi flick, directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Elle Fanning has earned around $73 million in 2 weeks.
