PAGASA Update on Tropical Storm Chedeng
Good news! According to the latest bulletin of PAGASA, typhoon Chedeng has slowed down as it prepares for a possible landfall over the Isabela-Cagayan area later this week.
Chedeng packed winds of 95 kilometers per hour near the center with gustiness of up to 120 kph. It is moving west northwest at 15 kph.
Although it may no longer be as strong as Milenyo as earlier predicted, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has already alerted regional disaster coordinating councils for possible pre-emptive evacuation of residents likely to be in the path of the storm.
With Chedeng and the monsoon rains, the country’s weather bureau officially declared that summer is over.
Also, brace for the next typhoon because it will be named “Dionesia”!
