Richard Gutierrez, Harassed by MMDA Traffic Enforcers?
Contrary to reports that he allegedly cursed some MMDA officers, Richard Gutierrez claims that it was the traffic enforcers who harassed him.
Captain Barbell star Richard Gutierrez claims that he was harassed by MMDA traffic enforcers after his driver Loreto Figueroa was caught for violating the speed limit at Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City last Tuesday.
In an interview with GMA News, the Kapuso star denied earlier reports that he allegedly scolded and cursed the traffic enforcers.
“Kita naman sa video na kalmado ako, na hindi naman galit, na hindi naman nagwawala, hindi ako nagmumura,” Gutierrez said, referring to a video taken by a motorist who passed by that time. The video was shown in the Chika Minute segment of 24 Oras.
Gutierrez made it clear that he is calm during that time but he got irritated after one of the MDDA enforcers allegedly crossed the line by contacting a fellow officer directing him to report the incident to news reporters.
“Sir si Richard Gutierrez po ‘tong nahuli namin,’ sabi niya sa radyo niya,” Gutierrez narrates to 24 Oras. “And then sumagot yung nasa radyo na, ‘ayan sige tekitan mo ‘yan para matauhan at para matawagan natin yung mga reporters mamaya’.”
And for the media who reported that he was ill-tempered during the incident, the Kapuso star has this to say:
“Before they put that as a headline, siguro kunin muna nila side ko…this is not the first time that happened to me, it happens to me every time. Wala pa ang side ko, nasa headlines na agad.”
