May 21 Doomsday & Rapture Prediction of Harold Camping, What If?
U.S. evangelical broadcaster Harold Camping has predicted that tomorrow, Saturday, is Judgment Day. Actually, this is his second prediction already as his first one, in 1994, obviously failed.
The 89-year-old self-confessed prophet said he is sure an earthquake will shake the Earth on tomorrow sweeping true believers to heaven in what the Bible teaches as “rapture” just like in the New York Times best-selling novel “Left Behind” by Tim La Haye and Jerry Jenkins (have you read the book?).
“We know without any shadow of a doubt it is going to happen,” Camping said in full conviction.
His supporters have posted thousands of billboards, streamers and posters across the United States and would you believe some of these promotional materials have reached the Philippines (Have you seen one? I did).
Camping’s basis for the Doomsday prediction is current events like the more-frequent-than-ever earthquakes around the world and rumors of war which are indeed stated in the Holy Bible. But The Book also said that the apocalypse, judgment day and rapture will come like a thief in the night so it’s very clear that no one will ever know nor predict when it is going to happen.
But what if it happens? Then we’ll just be like the people during the time of Noah who just laughed about his building an ark in preparation for the mega flood. They all perished right?
So I guess the best thing to do is to take this matter as a reminder for us that it will happen, although I’m sure it’s not tomorrow, but someday. We have a Filipino trait “wala namang mawawala” so why not use the opportunity to revive our faith and say a little prayer.
Perhaps Camping is just asking us in his subconscious little way – when was the last time you prayed?

this person is a false prophet; he wants only to gain believers to himself, not to the Lord Himself, for this man does not follow what the Bible says; God says, “occupy till I come” and no one could predict when would God exactly return…..he must renew his mind or else he will be condemned…..

obviously it is not true ..they say it will happen at 6pm, then meaning to say at 6pm in the Philippines the world is ending, but on the other side of the world around America which is not reaching at 6pm means a normal day? see they’re just fooling us..false prophet..
the world will end when God feels its ready yo end. no one can predict it n if this guy truely reads his BIBLE like he says he does, then he should know that only God knows n he will stop the predictions. he is only trying stunt to get known again, but in the end he will stand infront of God and answer for his mis beliefs againts God. And if this prediction scares you n most of the world , then what faith do you have in God?
