Will and Kate Adopt a Baby Penguin Named Acorn

Prince William and wife Kate Middleton are now the proud parents owners of a baby penguin named Acorn.

Chester Zoo, a British Zoo in North-west England gave a penguin to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a wedding present.

But before giving the present, the zoo organizers asked their followers on social networking sites to choose which of its 400 different species the couple should sponsor. The winner is a Humbolt, an endangers South American penguin believed to be declining in number due to overfishing of their food and habitat loss.

The zoo is hoping that the happy couple will come and see their little penguin named Acorn playing in his pool very soon.

  1. Tapos may bear pa mula sa PETA!

  2. why people tend to show their stupidity???

like Kim – the reason why we have zoos and animal shelters is to protect those species who are going endangered and eventually extinct… what they do they try to reproduce those animal to increase in population and you think the animal dies in the zoo? NO for when the animal reaches a certain age they return it to the wild… do some research before you make any comments.

I Think PETA shall either support OR PROTEST AGAINST IT!

    (NO OFFENSE INTENDED)

  7. Hello! The animal was a wedding gift. They did not buy it. Hopefully as the Zoo keeper said, HOPEFULLY they will dome to see it.

you do realize this was a captive born penguin and would die if it were released into the wild? the zoo isn’t going out snatching up penguin babies. animals have the right to be treated humanely, and that includes an environment that keeps them alive. that baby looks like it would survive about 3.3 seconds in the wild. relax honey, they’re not making it tap dance….yet…

Yes you are right.. But I think you are forgetting that PEOPLE are destroying their homes and also are killing these poor creatures for money..

  13. Why would people do such things. It should be placed back into the wilderness where it belongs! Animals have rights too, put it back and let it live life as God intended for it!
