Fashion moved to the beat of local sound in the recently ramped summer collection at Ayala Malls’s Market!Market! – a remarkable celebration of style and sound.

The show entitled “Fashion Beats” under the direction of Mr. Jackie Aquino puts the spotlight on Market!Market!’s summer fashion concepts fused with the musical ingenuity of Up Dharma Down.

“Ayala has been known to celebrate the arts, combining the two, fashion and music – it thus validates the idea that we Filipinos are music loving people,” shares fashion director Jackie Aquino on the show’s theme.

Evidently spirited, the collection seems to shout come out and play as Market!Market!’s featured local and international brands Bayo, Blued, Collezione C2, Folded & Hung, Freeway, Get Laud, Gingersnaps, Giordano, Greta, Jag, Jockey, Just G., Maldita, Marithe Francois Girbaud, Levi’s, Mental, Merrell, Nava, Osh Kosh B’Gosh, Payless Shoe Source, Plains & Prints, Skechers, Style Essentials by Adidas, Unica Hija, Wade and Wrangler presented designs that are mostly light in hues and prints.

Hosted by celebrity and fashionista herself Cheska Garcia, Market!Market!’s Fashion Beats takes on the first unique collaboration on fashion and live music on the runway. Likewise, model and tv personality Phoemela Barranda graced the event for Get Laud! collection. Onlookers at the mall were tuned in to the beat and fashion as Up Dharma Down played a series of music upping the event’s already high ante.

Further to fashion immersion, the fashion series – Ayala Malls’ Style Origins is also a testament of the nation’s passion for creating music that inspires an individual’s lifestyle. Further bringing style and music across the country, Ayala Malls’ Style Origins next stop will be at Ayala Center Cebu (May 8 ) with the music of Rico Blanco, Marquee Mall (May 14) featuring Urbandub, Bonifacio High Street (May 21) featuring The Brass Munkeys and at the Abreeza (May 22) featuring Rico Blanco.
