Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes Leads Filipino Boxers in ‘Pinoy Pride 5: Battle of Champions’

World Boxing Organization Minimum Weight World Champion Donnie "Ahas" Nietes begins his quest for a world title in a new weight division on “Pinoy Pride 5: Battle of Champions.”

Nietes, who has 27 wins against 1 loss and 3 draws, will go up against Mexican Armando Vasquez (18-5-0) for a future crack at a Junior Flyweight world championship belt.

Aside from the 28-year-old boxer, junior welterweight Jason Pagara (26-1-0) and undefeated featherweight Lorenzo Villanueva (20-0-0) will also fight for the Philippine flag against Africans Deo Njiku (14-4-0) and Ramadhani Shauri (12-2-1), respectively.

Catch this action-packed card from the La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City this Sunday (April 10), 10:15 am on ABS-CBN Channel 2 and 2pm on Studio 23.
