Charice Beats Justin Bieber in J-Wave Best Newcomer Award
Charice has beaten some of the biggest names in music for the Best Newcomer Award in the recently concluded J-WAVE Tokio Hot 100 held at Shinagawa’s Stellar Ball concert hall in Japan.
Dubbed as the “world’s most talented girl in the world” by Oprah Winfrey, Charice won over popular international artists like Ke$ha, Orianthi, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber.
Charice was able to grace the awards night because she is currently in Japan for a 4-gig tour. She performed her hit single “Pyramid” during the event. The said track was a huge hit in Japan, the country considered as the second largest market in music next to the USA.
JUstin Bieber is my fave singer ngayon tinawag pa akong immature teen ager ng isang MORON dito. Hype ka lang for Charice, di ko naman sya kinokontra, pero bawat tao may mga preferences at nagkataon mas type ko si JB, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift,Katy Perry, Rihanna , Ludacris, Jason Mraz at Adam Lambert. Right ko naman ang mamili, at siguro its a right to choose na di naman ipinagbabawal sa ating constitution, gets mo?
FYI japan is one of the big 3 of music industry next to US and UK. non japanese or even western artist hirap sa pasukin ang japanese market dahil nga sa kakaibang taste nila dun.so hindi imposible na manalo si charice dito against kina JB at bruno mars.

For those who belittle Charice’s getting “only” a Japan-based award, beating JB, BM and the rest, it’s obvious Japan has a more decent and discerning taste for music and does not go for flash-in-the-pan singers like Bieber who in a short time will have been gone and forgotten. Besides, the Japanese are known to be perfectionists and will not settle for less than a perfect singer. They know an excellent singer when they hear one.
