American Idol Season 10 Top 24 Announced (UPDATED)

Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler revealed the Top 24 contestants of American Idol season 10.

In this year, due to the large number of contestants, a couple more rounds were added. The remaining contestants proceeded on to Las Vegas where they performed, as duos and trios, a song from The Beatles. Forty advanced to the next round back in Los Angeles. In this final “Sing For Your Life” round, the contestants performed individually a song of their own choosing in an aircraft hanger. The Top 24 were then selected for the semifinals.

The first five semifinalists were revealed during tonight’s episode of American Idol. However, Joe’s Place Blog (the blog which predicts the names of AI semifinalists and gets most of them right every year) posted the names of the remaining Top 24 members.

The Top 24 (to be official tomorrow) are the following:

Please take note that only those marked with an asterisk (*) are the official members of the Top 24 so far. The rest will be confirmed tomorrow.

It’s interesting to note that during today’s episode, Jennifer Lopez had an emotional breakdown after announcing to Chris Medina his elimination.

    …thia made it yahoooo and so is clint gamboa. Nway, they’re in a reality tv but it doesnt mean that everything that u guys watched on tv is all true. They portrayed clint like hes a total bad guy or gay (lol). But honestly his voice is very powerful and kinda unique. Im hoping that both thia and clint make it through the top 10 para atleast mksama cla sa AI tour. Best of luck to clint and thia, i will surely vote for u two, not just bcoz ure both filipinos but i also bliv in ur talent. =)

    sana makapasok si Thia at Clint sa FINAL 12. jusko. after ilang seasons eto na ulet! sana madaig nila si Jasmine at Camille from season 3. si jasmine trias nag top 3. sana ang american idol ay pilipino para bagong achievement nnman sa lahing pilipino! :))
