Clint Jun Gamboa – 2nd Pinoy on American Idol?

We know that Thia Megia is currently doing well on American Idol but do we have another pinoy contestant this year?

It’s not yet confirmed if Clint Jun Gamboa is Pinoy but there are several hints on his YouTube videos that he might be. He is a Karaoke host from Longbeach, California.

During group round in Hollywood, Clint Jun Gamboa performs “Get Ready” together with 3 other aspirants. The belting-pinoy-looking contestant (the one with the white eyeglasses) gets the shock of his life when Steven Tyler asked the three to step forward leaving him behind only to find out that all four of them made it through.

Jennifer Lopez said “Come’on Jun you know you’re going through!”

Clint Jun was easily the best among the four and he knows he’s a good singer.

    He wont make it far. Despite American Idol being a talent show it is also a popularity show. Gamboa is not liked because he kicked off the kid off his group and has a pompus attitude. He also wont get votes because he is gay and obvious fan of Elton John’s flaming glasses.

    I can’t wait for Clint Jun Gamboa to be booted out of American Idol 10. What he did to Jacee was mean, and as the saying goes – what goes around, comes around.

    Just because he is a Pinoy, that doesn’t make him the best. The more I read about and mingle with Filipinos, the more I realize they are way too proud of themselves. Racists I dare say. Good faithful Christians (as most Pinoys are) should realize that there’s no one race that is superior above the rest, as God creates humans equal in his eyes. But if you guys Pinoys think you are better than the rest, what more can I say? You guys are contradicting your faith in Christianity.

    And yes, God is watching all of us. And God is watching Clint Jun Gamboa too. So Clint, your actions, your deeds will backfire on you. And that time will come, sooner or later. Whether he is truly a Pinoy or otherwise.

    Clint jun gamboa is a filipino. His father, jun gamboa, is from Balungao, Pangasinan. Let’s not criticize him for what he had done. Tao rin siya at nagkakamali bagkus ay suportahan natin ang ating kababayan. For the local media, hwag lng naman laging si megia. May pinoy din naghihintay ng suporta at sana’y iprioritize rin natin siya..

    Grabe ang ganda ng Amaya todo hataw sa ratings. Bagay na bagay sina Marian at Sid Lucero. Marami na namang awards ang mapapanalunan ng nag iisang international multi media star na si Marian ng dahil sa teleserye na ito. Ang galing galing nya dito pang hollywood ang teleserye na ito. Di na ak magtataka if one of this day ay sa hollywood naman bumida si idol Marian. Why not fluent naman sa mag English w/ matching american accent. Go go go Marian. Ikaw lang ang nag iisang worldclass pinay artist.

    second, he doesn’t work well with people.

    third, he’s not unique in american idol. lots of other contestants are way better.

    just because he’s filipino doesn’t mean he’s the best. that’s the bad mentality of many pinoys.

    aside from jun clint and thia…check MELISSA LUCAS (eliminated in group week w/ Casey Abrams) and MONIQUE DE LOS SANTOS from cebu phils. (group with clint jun) merun pa isa sa hollwood week 1 lng ata xa umabot si JULIANNE MANALO…ayun..go pinoys!

    Did you see how he treated that white guy on the show last night? The 15 yr old who cried because this stupid guy kept insisting that he leave.

    Yes, Monique delos Santos, who sang along with Clint Gamboa, is from Cebu City, Philippines. She used to be a TV host on ABS-CBN Channel 3.

    Monique delos Santos and Thia Megia are Pinoys. Not sure if Melissa Lucas and Clint Jun Gamboa are also Pinoys but I have a feeling, they are. 🙂
