The much-awaited TV special of the "most talented girl in the world" airs tonight on the Kapuso Network.

Tonight (February 13), GMA brings to TV viewers an inspiring Valentine offering with international singing sensation Charice Pempengco in Charice: Home for Valentine’s.

Internationally known as Charice, the world-class Pinay finds her first project in GMA to be her first ever Philippine TV concert special. It airs at 8:30pm, the night before Valentine’s Day.

Charice gets personal in the show as she talks about her journey from rags to riches–from being an ordinary Filipino dreamer to one of Hollywood’s most promising and famous young superstars.

Woven into a repertoire of her favorite songs, Charice shows off her prowess while singing about moments and stories in her life. She performs with Kapuso artists Michael V., Ogie Alcasid, Rachelle Anne Go and Elmo Magalona.

Get to know more about our Pinay achiever and how she triumphed with her music. Be the first to hear about her future plans in this two-hour television special under the musical direction of Homer Flores and TV direction of Louie Ignacio.

    I live here in Los Angeles and work in Entertainment business so I think it’s fair if I defend charice on this one-for those who are saying hindi sya napapansin…it’s the opposite. She is considered entertainer of Entertainers here, so maski wala sya sa Grammy’s it’s ok. And if she is now kapuso, then that’s just how it is, hopefully someday maging freelance artist sya sa Pinas since she don’t really need to be tied to one station.I never understand bakit kelangan maging exclusive ng celebrities to one network, sa ibang bansa naman, or @ least here where I live it’s alright.

    kahit hindi ko napanood ang show ni Charice kagabi sa Kapuso Network, bilib naman ako sa kanya kahit noon pa. ang hirap lang sa showbiz lalo sa pinas, kapag hindi ka nila talent sisiraan ka, at kapag naging talent ka na nila at nanggaling ka sa ABS, burado na ang paninira nila sa artist. For sure kung si Pokwang ang bibitawan ng ABS at kukunin ng GMA7, baka mas maganda pa sya kesa aswang sa mata ng GMA noontime show host (kilala nyo na kung cno sya).

    theyre working na kasi sa 2nd album nia.
    nagbago kasi ng plan ang management nia, after ng pyramid, di na sila naglabas ng next single kasi walang radio friendly na paniguradong magkiclick sa debut album nia. kaya shift agad sila sa next album kung saan possible HIT single daw lahat. In na iN type of songs. Sana this time bumongga na talaga sya. Makapagperform na sa mga awards night at magkakaaward..

    another thing i noticed last night…

    charice is natural, bubbly, and honest…

    on one of her speech, she said she never thought that all of this will happen to her,, she thanked the one who uploaded her video to youtube…

    pagkatapos nya nga namang matalo sa isang singing contest na mas mataas ang basehan for star quality rather than talent, hindi nya inaakala na magkakaroon sya ng isang fan na magpopost ng performance nya sa youtube, na naging daan para matamasa ang karangyaan…

    so to those who are claiming that she owes a lot from abs, i don’t think so…

    i’ve seen her special last night… and all i can say is that, i am now officially a chaster… hahahaha…

    performance ang technicality wise, GMA gave her a simple but the best special, even for just a short time of preparation, they still gave charice a show which focuses only to her..

    walang masyadong eklat at drama….

    Since the news Charice will appear on GMA7 everything has gone down. ABS is so professional and done no special for her for a reason. GMA on other hand succeeded-but It was so disappointing how the production value went. It was very ordinary and cheaper than those past specials ABS did for Regine. I said ABS because they can always give “SPECIAL” neatly and well though. from camera angle down to sounds. The special GMA gave to Charice was way cheaper.

    My cous went to her solo concert in colo pero 500 na Tao Lang nsgpunta. Mga Filipino pa.She was originally sup to appear on Glee for 10 epsds, naging 7, 5, and now 4 n lang.It seems na they just want to get it over w Kung ano mang pinangako sa kanya. Mahirap kasi, she’s not that good of an actress, di naman puros kanta Lang.Anyway, GL to her and wishing her the best!

    Hindi ko sya dinadown pero mahirap talagang magpenetrate sa Holly ang ethnic artists. Kaya Lang may misconception sa Pinas,akala she’s so famous here pero honestly, nakakalungkot talaga na 4 yrs n since madiscover sya ni Ellen, very few pa rin dito ang fans Nya. Puros pinoys pa. 🙁

    international ka nga…but ull never make it in the philippines…just cuz u chose the wrong network….hahaha…i a couple of years ull eventually fade out and go to philipppines to be an entertainer but itll probably be too late…u suck to me now…u overhyped little dwarf…hahaha…

    Over-all pangit ang production! Galing ng vocal power though, Kudos! It started good specially nung kantahin nya ‘yung Halo. She nailed it. Nag start pumangit ng pumasok at kumanta mga starlets ng GMA specifically elmo magalona. Puros Hey hey lang ang adlib. Maganda ‘yung stage very classy kaso di nagbago ang lighting from start to finish..’yung band ang pangit..sana may orchestra na kinuha o kahiy quartet man lang. Buti na lang maganda ang boses kahit papaano eh nagmukhang sosyal naman ang kapuso kahit one time lang.. Di pa rin patatataob ang kapamilya sa paggawa ng mga specials.. like Regine Velasquez’ special concert for Bantay Bata many years ago.. Sa may national museum yung venue tapos may orchestra pa. Sa kapuso management, more effort pa po.

    ABS still discovers Charice balibaliktarin nyo man ang mundo, her performances uploaded to you tube prior to Korea thing was clips from ABS. lets say charice did not make any appearances on ABS who would know her? lets say she appeared on GMA prior to her success, it will be of GMAs credit. Bec. no matter how successful u are you always went to a lower ground and you should always be thankful to that…Charice do. Before, GMA fans were so mean about Charice cant you remember? Now…all praises. Im not liking her now tho…she left her simple image to a overhyped gesture which is so annoying. Ogie Diaz was so ryt to be good.
