Willie claims the copyright infringement case against his show “Willing Willie” on TV5 is fueled by ABS-CBN’s grudge against him.
The controversial host clarified that he has no plans of fighting the network giant.
“Hindi naman ‘to paligsahan, hindi naman ‘to away ng mga tao, e…saka ang importante dito, hindi ako nakikipaglaban. E, sino ba ako para sa ABS, di ba?,” he said.
ABS-CBN, on the other hand, answered Revillame’s sentiments via a press statement as follows:
ABS-CBN filed case in good faith and simply to protect its rights under the law. It’s not motivated by ‘vengeance’ to get back at anyone. Infringement of Intellectual Property rights is a very serious matter akin to stealing another’s property. It’s also like plagiarism which the public has condemned in recent events.
ABS-CBN has a valid case and we will pursue it in court.

Meanwhile, Willing Willie is still airing right at this very moment because the Makati City RTC postponed the TRO filed by ABS-CBN this morning, November 30.
