The remaining 15 Star Power finalists battle it out with their song of gratitude this Sunday night.

We bid goodbye to finalists Rheena, Camille, Glaiza, Cristelle and Jizelle in Star Power last Sunday as they were the first five eliminated in the ultimate Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar. Megastar Sharon Cuneta encouraged them that it is sure that there would be another venue for their dream of stardom in the future.

“I think na malinaw na malinaw na sinabi ko sa umpisa, na lahat kayong Star Power 20, ay napakagagaling. Para sa akin panalo na kayong lahat. Yung mapipili ay yung walang Star Power just for the meantime. Ibig sabihin may nakita na kami sa inyo, pero pwede pang umulit, pwede pang sumubok muli,” said the Megastar as she about to announce the group of five who will leave the competition.

On the brighter side, renowned legendary music artists Gary V., Vina Morales and Zsazsa Padilla gave advice to the Star Power 20 before their much-awaited ASAP XV performance. All of them encouraged the contenders to always have the guts to face life’s most difficult challenges.

“When you step out on the stage, tandaan nyo na suportado naming kayo dito sa ASAP, dahil alam naming that you’ll give 100 percent of yourself. God bless you girls,” Gary V told the finalists.

For Vina, the Star Power 20 must really have no room for giving up. “Ito na lang ang maipapayo ko, talagang reach for the stars. Huwag ka kayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. You’ll have to give your best. Pray harder. Sa mga narating nyo ngayon, palakpak lang ang maibibigay ko.”

Meanwhile, in Star Power this Sunday, after Rated K, the remaining 15 Star Power finalists must battle it out with their songs of gratitude. Who among them will shine? And who among them will follow the footsteps of the first five eliminated?

Akiko Solon (Cebu) sings Yeng Constantino’s Salamat for his supportive father Achilles while bubbly Ninay Lescano (Lipa City) gives her own rendition of Aiza Seguerra’s I’ll be there for you, which is also dedicated to his father who taught her how to sing.

Kaye Racho (Cebu) performs There You’ll Be by Faith Hill for his OFW father Narciso while Peter Cetera’s You’re the inspiration is the song Macy delos Reyes (City of Manila) dedicates to his Cebuano vocal coach Dennis.
