Hellcats is the newest cheerleading teen drama on the CW starring former Disney babies Alyson Michalka and Ashley Tisdale.

Also starring in Hellcats are Heather Hemmens, Robbie Jones and Matt Barr. Based on the book Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick and described as “Glee meets Bring It On”, the series follows the life of Marti Perkins, a pre-law college student who has to join the cheerleading team, the Hellcats, in order to maintain her scholarship.

Hellcats premiered last Wednesday, September 8, on the CW and it’s first season will air for the Fall 2010-2011 period. In the Philippines the show will air on ETC as part of their match airing. The series will air on September 15, 2010 8:00 p.m.
