Velvet Raises the Stakes with the Newest Season of the ‘Celebrity Apprentice’
There’s nothing more interesting than paparazzi-ready celebrities being thrown together in unfamiliar territory and battling it out not in a studio but in the corporate jungle. With no directors and scriptwriters, they call all the shots in the four corners of an office.
Get in on the action as Velvet, the country’s premium general entertainment channel, airs the battle of these 14 well-loved celebrities in the high-stakes, high-pressure, all-business arena of Donald Trump to win a whopping $1 million for their chosen charities.
Rather than vying for a job within the Trump empire, these stars use their business savvy to earn the trust and support of New York celebrity tycoon Mr. Trump. Follow the series as one celebrity after another is fired each week, and see who among them will remain.
Celebrity Apprentice, which is also the ninth installment of world-hit reality show The Apprentice, features big names such as British actress and author Sharon Osbourne, 80’s music sensation Cyndi Lauper, rock band Poison vocalist Bret Michaels, celebrity chef Curtis Stone, diva Maria Kanellis, wrestler Bill Goldberg, Victoria’s Secret angel Selita Ebanks, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, baseball superstar Darryl Strawberry, stand-up comedian Sinbad, writer Carol Leifer and Olympic gold medalists Michael Johnson and Summer Sanders.
It can be recalled that renowned America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan and comedian Joan Rivers were hailed Celebrity Apprentice in the first and second seasons, respectively. Morgan won via successfully organizing a Backstreet Boys charity, concert, while Rivers gained her success from a sold-out acrobatic show with a VIP party afterwards.
Long hours of grueling mental challenges, personality and ego clashes, and intense scrutiny are what these 14 contenders must endure. Without their regular support system of agents, managers and personal assistants, how will they survive?
Catch Celebrity Apprentice Season 3, Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Velvet (SkyCable Channel 53). Velvet, the country’s premium general entertainment channel, is now available on SkyCable Platinum, SkyCable Gold, SkyCable Silver and other quality cable operators nationwide.
Bret Michaels won this season. That’s why he got the stint of hosting the recently concluded Miss Universe 2010 which was held in Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Which we all know, owned by MR. DONALD TRUMP.
