Entertainment Weekly conducted a poll on who is the Sexiest Beast of All Time.

Topping the poll is Ian Somerhalder‘s Vampire Diaries character, Damon Salvatore, according to EW readers. The devilish charm of the hopeless romantic Damon in the hit Vampire series from CW captured the hearts of televiewers specially the girls.

Ian beat out 64 other “beasts” including Robert Pattinson‘s Twilight character, Edward Cullen, by just 3,902 votes in over 1.5 million votes tallied from July 19 to August 18.

“It makes you realize how much fun the fans are having,” Ian told EW. “They’re making the success of the show happen.”

Ian did admit that he didn’t even get to vote in the competition: “We were shooting flashback stuff, and I always have this fear that if I bring my cell phone or computer, then it’s going to throw me off!’ he said.”
