Regine Velasquez to Star in Upcoming Indie Film ‘Mrs. Recto’
Regine Velasquez is about to start filming the first indie film of her career–“Mrs. Recto”–to be directed by Dante Nico Garcia.
Garcia is the director of the award-winning film “Ploning” in 2008 which starred Judy Ann Santos. The said film was also the official entry of the Philippines to the Oscar Awards. Just like Ploning, Mrs. Recto is also under the production of Panoramanila Pictures.
In Mrs. Recto, Regine Velasquez will play the role of a single mother whose source of income is selling ready-made term papers in Recto. Elmo Magalona will play the role of her genius son.
Regine is set to start shooting Mrs. Recto on September 6.

That’s what I want about regine, she keeps on reinventing herself..she’s from the late 80’s and yet she makes a point, you will see a different from every now and then… that makes her more established star of the philippines!!
