Marvin Ong Releases Debut Single ‘Panaginip’

Former "Are You the Next Big Star?" contestant and lead man in Repertory Philippines' "Sweeny Todd" releases self-titled debut album.

From GMA’s “Are You the Next Big Star?” to Repertory Philippines’ staging of “Sweeney Todd”, Marvin Ong is now a Viva recording artist. He has recently released his self-titled debut album with the first single “Panaginip”.

The 12-track album is composed of 10 covers. Among them are Panaginip, the carrier single; Hard To Say I’m Sorry; Maybe; Have I Told You Lately; Harana; Can’t Help Falling in Love; the dance revival Let’s Hang On; and Worst That Could Happen by Jimmy Webb which has been given Filipino lyrics a few decades ago and was recorded by Hajji Alejandro as Panakip Butas. There are two originals in the album: It Doesn’t Get Easier by Hong Kong Disneyland’s musical director Ronnie Fortich and Captivated by Marvin himself.
