Former "Are You the Next Big Star?" finalist Alex Castro and former Pinoy Dream Academy scholar Van Roxas are taking the showbiz splash.

New faces will grace your Sunday afternoon viewing as Pinoy Dream Academy Season two star dreamer Van Roxas and commercial model/councilor-turned-actor Alex Castro set on their first mini-series on ABS-CBN every Sunday, ‘Your Song presents Maling Akala.’

Both handpicked for their respective roles, Van and Alex share the same passion for music. As they embark on a new field, both are feeling blessed because of the opportunity given to them by the network.

“After Pinoy Dream Academy (season 2), I went back to the States to continue my studies. I took Clinical Nursing Assistance po. But when I learned about the opportunities lined up for me po dito, I asked permission from my mom to come back. Sayang rin po kasi kaya po I grabbed it,” Van shared.

Alex on the other hand expressed his gratitude for the attention given to him by ABS-CBN, “Nagulat po ako nung una. Noong tinawagan po ako hindi ako makapaniwala. First project ko po ito sa ABS-CBN and sobra po ako thankful. First project and si Kim Chiu and Ai-ai Delas Alas agad ang makakasama ko. Blessing po talaga.”

Though busy with show business for he is also part of ABS-CBN’s upcoming musical series, Van still plans to take further studies and eventually take the Licensed Practical Nurse curriculum. Alex on the other hand is busy doing public service as he continues his job as Marilao, Bulacan’s councilor. Alex has been the city’s councilor for 8 years.
